Rock Climbing Areas

Ploca / Pilav Tepe

This is an area in eastern Macedonia. It is very close to the M-6 road and about 12km in front of Radovis. It can be approached from Stip (take the exit near Veles from the M-1 highway) or from Negotino (also through the M1 highway from Skopje and when you take the exit for Negotino there is a junction point with the road for Radovis).

The rock is about 80m high and it has a very short and easy approach from the road and easy descend route from the top.

Best time for climbing is spring and autumn (and winter if conditions allow that) - because the routes have south-east exposure and in summer it can get very hot.

The area has been developed by the local climbers from Radovis and Stip. All the routes are bolted so all you need is a rope and quickdraws and have a pleasent climbing experience...
